The underdogs, we've had too much shit kicked in our lives to stop us howling at the moon...

This handsome devil apparently scored Liechensteins goal yesterday. According to this match report it is not the first time Franz Burgmeier has shone on the international stage... maybe there's a bargain waiting to happened here... go on Arsene Wenger; bring this youngster to Highbury!

I have just finished The Diagnosis by Allan Lightman and it's a pretty good book! Sort of Kafka meets Don DeLillo, I'm looking forward to hear other peoples thoughts on it tomorrow.

There are only 25 minutes remaining of this years Socialist Workers' Day... I really couldn't care less....

This is a Socialist Serenade

Silly Nicky Wire, no wonder it only ended up as a b-side...

Don't be real, be postmodern...

I think there are degrees of realism..... Right now there's an episode of boring boring series The Agency on tv and Brian Dennehy is playing the former president! Come on, what kind of country would elect a guy like Brian Dennehy as president?!?!? Yeah, yeah, I know they got Ronald Reagan 'n shit, but come on; Brian Dennehy !!!!!

On the more positive end of the I choose to challenge the concept of reality spectrum; Liechenstein won their first football match since.... well probably ever, tonight. They beat Saudi Arabia 1-0. Liechenstein, we salute you!

Let's all go together....

A couple of days has passed, and it's hot hot hot outside. Roskilde Festival has, more or less, announced their entire program and I'm not really impressed! There a quite a few bands that I would like to see, but no Libertines, Cooper Temple Clause, Muse, Pureessence or Placebo. Manics on Midtfyns it is.

Sometimes it's nice to live in Denmark. Yesterday I came across a large crossing where the trafficlights weren't working. Pretty much everywhere else this would probably cause chaos, high speed and lots of pointless honking, but not in sunny Denmark! People let each other pass, were super polite and careful when they ventured into the actual crossing, all while smiling like madmen... lo-ve-ly!

Denmark has a friendly game against Ukrain tonight, I listen to The Specials on my MD, and things could probably be a lot worse....

I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in

This whole 6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon shite is starting to freak me out. I open a can of Forster's and sit down to watch the last bit of High Fidelity, 2 minutes pass, and then one of the no-name actors from Pasadena enters the stage!!! Everything is connected, and not only to Kevin Bacon, but also to aliens... and The Branch Corporation and The Zürich Gnomes.... and hasn't that Jack Black guy just been appearing everywhere lately!?!?! Keep watching the skies.... 'n shit!

'Do you have soul?'....'Well, that depends'

I love High Fidelity. It is on my Top 5 Movie list (along side: The Big Lebowski, Clerks, Lost Highway & the last and everchanging; Fear X right now). The cast is perfect and John Cusack is brilliant - the whole It's not important what you are like, it's more important what you like speech is just the words right out of my mouth, no Meat Loaf pun intended!

I have sort of fallen in love with the drama series Pasadena, which is shown on sunday afternoons here in Denmark! It is part Dawsons Creek (Mid-thirties actors pretending to be teenagers) and part Twin Peaks (Lots of intrigues and dark secrets). And since it apparently never made it past its first season on FOX there is no chance that I will be caught in some sort of The Bold and The Beautiful addiction! It also stars 'Young Charlie Sheen' Lookalike Balthazar Getty, who btw starred in Lost Highway... yes, everything is mysteriously connected.... and I don't mean to Kevin Bacon!

Arsenal drew with Bolton yesterday, which sort of ruined my whole day. My comment to Henrik "Tømrer" Petersen yesterday was of course all wrong... it shouldn't have been Height is my virtue as much as Height is my ONLY virtue - my mistake!
