Oi! suits you!

the company that, who after almost a year of emailing and complaining, send me my brilliant I Love Hoovering hooded sweatshirt, has now started a line of childrens clothing, from 3 years and up! Am I the only one who think it would constitute bad parenting to dress your 5 year old kid in this shirt?!?! Luckily the I Love Hoovering shirt also comes in size 5/6 - for the dedicated followers of fashion.

3½ hour till kickoff; go Gunners!!!

Drummers; A necessary evil?

After two days of Danish alternative/indie rock I’m left feeling all empty! You ask why, and I’ll tell you why.... because it’s shit! Somebody should tell these bands that sounding exactly like Thom York isn’t a quality in itself - you have to do/mean/say/play something yourself! The same goes for Figurines whom I saw yesterday.... if I had wanted to listen to Pavement I would have stayed home listening to Pavement, and not some ugly c*nts, sounding like a crap version of them! They played along side Lake Placid (can’t help but wonder whether they came before or after the movie ) who was some sort of school musical project gone wrong!

there are only a couple of hours till the FA Cup Final, and Ray Parlour should be fit for fight! he scored a stunner of a goal in last years final.... I wouldn't mind one, or two, in this years as well!

Hey! Some of my best friends are crackwhores...

I can't help but wonder why American soaps and series always have to make up countries when they are in a need for an evil regime! It's not that there's isn't plenty around! I just saw an episode of Beverly Hills 90210, and am I the only person who haven't heard of the country Selanesia?!?!?

Also, could it be that I am the only one noticing the stunning resemblance between the jingle in crap Danish docu-shite program I medgang og Modgang and the legendary Blackadder theme song? Maybe it's just me... who's stupid enough to watch that show (though I really didn't... it was my girlfriend... promise... I was in another room, but just could help but hearing it... it's true!)!

Hard on for Jesus....

I've been persuaded to go and see a couple of local bands tonight.... I think I'll play the Devils Advocate all night, and just hang around with my arms crossed and bitch about the state of Danish music.... ahh, happy days are here again!

The 12 Dumbest Comic Book Covers; so true - who in their right mind would read a Chaplains at War comic? I'm also especially intrigued by the rather obscene Rifleman cover! That Rifleman sure ain't no dry stick!

This is our B-sides, show us yours....

Manics are following their recent greatest hits, with a b-sides/cover versions album - lovely! 'Lipstick Traces (A Secret History Of The Manic Street Preachers) is a nice enough title, thought I think the 'secret history... part is sort of stolen from Neil Hannon and Divine Comedy... who probably stole it somewhere else - Hail to the Thiefs, but not to the guy who made the latest Radiohead cover, jezuz it's ugly!

Actually it's darkness, I don't know what I'm scared of....

(posted somewhat later than it was written)

I just finished installing my printer, a thing I really don't excel in! Before I got it to print want I wanted it to printed, it spat out about a 20 pages of smiley faces, Japanese sign and random bollox! But now it's working...

I also just discovered that I there is no lunch whatsoever in my fridge. Outside there a thunderstorm coming, and it's pissing down. So to save me from being hit by lightning I think I'll make spring rolls instead.... mmm, hot lunch!

Hell, it's almost pitch black outside.... I'm definitely not going out!

Last night I actually started to understand a bit of that ol boy scout saying about "there's no bad weather, only bad clothing..." I was driving home pretty late, and it was f*cking freezing! Luckily I had my raincoat (and matching pants!) with me, and they not only keep out rain, they are also totally wind-tight ! It's a lovely feeling, being outside, knowing how cold it is, and just feeling all warm and fuzzy underneath 3-5 layers of clothes (I know what you thinking, but no: the fuzzy feeling was NOT whiskey induced)!

Otherwise I am studying (ish) for my exams, and listening to the new, still darn strange, Blur album! I have thought about ordering a Think Tank cap from their homepage, but everybody I've shown the picture says it's darn ugly! In his last book William Gibson coined a word for rednecks and truckdrivers who wears this kind of caps... 'mesh backs' - I think that's a really good word!

'It was the best of times, it was the blurst of times....

It seems to be a monkey themed week, and maybe this (via Spild af Tid) could also be linked to Thomas Troelsen's lyrical skills... I'm pretty sure that many Superheroes lyrics consists primarily of the letter S. (and) later the letters A, J, L and M crept in!

Hey I'll be your dog, be my God....

In the spirit of counter culture, I have decided to counter Roys Most Rawk; Snake og Monkey? search! My claim is that 'dogs' are way more rock than both monkeys and snakes! From the classic "You ain't nothing but a hound dog"(Elvis) to "Hair of the Dog"(Guns N Roses). My list so far includes "I want a dog"(Petshop Boys), "Dog Bite"(Dead Kennedys), "Damn Dog"(Manic Street Preachers), "Bulldog Baby"(Echobelly) "Black Dog" (Led Zeppelin), "I wanna be your Dog"(Iggy Pop & The Stooges), "The Underdogs"(Rialto), "Dogs are Everywhere"(Pulp), "Essex Dog"(Blur) and "Dogs of Lust"(The The) ... get out of that one, Rommel!

If you tolerate this... is number 20 on this list of Best number 1 singles ever! Nice to see Manics on the list, and way above Wings, but I can come up with 10 other Manics singles that deserves the spot more! And what people see/hear in Bohemian Rhapsody I will never f*cking know!

D-d-d-don't you want me baby....

Had a few beers and watched Berverly Hills Cop 3 last night! it's just as good/bad as the first two, but the Danish translator had decided not to translate "fuck", so "fuck" was just fuck in the Danish subtitles... the same for "fucking"... I think that was enough swearing for one day! George Lucas starred as Dissapointed Man and I recognized him, which I found a but scary... to my no nerd defense it must be said that I didn't notice neither John Singleton as a fireman or Joe Dante as jailer!

The Midtfyns Festival just keeps getting better and better! They have now announced that Human League and Flaming Lips will appear at the festival. Especially Flaming Lips should be a treat. I haven't seen them live, or listened to much of their music, but I've heard that they are really good.... when they don't just pull of some bizar Car Experience ... oh well!

Fingers crossed for The Hammers!
