Spiderman is having you for dinner tonight

Oh this glorious modern age! I've just had to record 'Come Back Billy Bird' onto a tape and from there to my minidisc because 'Absent Friends' got Copy Control, and can't be recorded directly from CD to MD! F*cking lame that is! This copy protection thing seems to bere put there with the sole purpose of pisssing off people who has actually paid money for the cd! Thiefs people who find songs on the net get around it, and even my very non-technical dad has found a way to copy protected cd's! I really don't get it.....

I saw Van Helsing last night, and it's quite a stinker. The story is paper thin and the action scenes are just endless repetitions. The final scene pits Van Helsing, who's been turned into a werewolf, against Dracula in a fight scene where they both look like huge hairy pokemons! It's as lame as it sounds...

Come home Billy Bird...

Just got the new Divine Comedy album from the lovely people at CD Wow, and it has already had its first 3 spins on my stereo. I'm quite a big fan of Neil Hannon ans his crazy upperclass foppish universe, and 'Absent Friends' is just that. Loads of literary references and funny lyrics. Highlights include the fantastic 'Come Home Billy Bird' where the lo-ve-ly Lauren Laverne joins on backing vocals, the country style 'Freedom Road' and not least the rhyme extravaganza of 'the Happy Goth':

"Well her clothes are blacker than the blackest cloth
And her face is whiter than the snows of Hoth
She wears Dr. Martens and a heavy cross
But on the inside she's a happy goth"

Tomorrow there's a You Are the Quarry release party at Sway, the number one indie hangout in Ã…rhus. It'll be good fun, and free beer to the first 20 who shows up with flowers will only add to the atmosphere - whether it has to be gladiolas og daffodils in unknown.

I thought about changing the look of my blog, the way Angela's done with hers, all in the spirit of the new Blogger look. I actually also thought about renaming it, to Diary of a Wimp to fit my re-found fascination with Space (it's a really good song, a bit like Lightning Seeds!). But then I couldn't find a nice looking template, and no matter how much I enjoy Tommy Scott and the rest of Space right now, my interest in 'em never seems to last more than a week or so.

So the blog stays as it is for now. It might get a make over when some crazy gay bloggers invade my computer, or maybe I'll punk it up when if I get my mohawk done this summer! We'll have to wait and see.

So I begin again,

So now it's almost official, Brett Anderson & Bernard Butler are working on a new album together.... at least according to Danish newspaper Berlingske Tidende! Oh joy.... For (all) you who can't read Danish, the article says that they've already written 15 songs and that 6 of them are 'fantastic classics'!

The Sound of Anderson & Butler, I can't wait!

Civilization begins with order, grows with liberty and dies with chaos
- Will Durant

I'm not sure I like the new look of Blogger, it reminds me of a C64 or Amiga 500 screen...

Oh well, guess I'll have be satisfied with 0-1 and a dull dull dull game! We only saw the second part, since we also saw AGF beat the current number one, Esbjerg 4-1! I don't support AGF at all, but sitting on a sunny stadium on a hot Sunday is pretty darn nice... when I become a millionaire I'll by small house near Ashburton Grove/a>!

And congrats to Anders with Gillingham staying in Division 1 and yet another Christian Lundberg goal!

I've met the man in the street, and he's a cunt
- Sid Vicious.

So it's been a weekend of rain and rock 'n royal. I didn't see 5 seconds of the royal music marathon... but must congratulate Anders Blichfeldt on playing 'Suspicious Minds' - we need more songs about infidelity days before the wedding! Brett Anderson's contribution 'Loving is Dead' was also very spot on I think! Repeat after me.....

Arsenal go south of the Thames and take on Fulham today. The two teams last match was one big Arsenal attack, but against all odds it ended 0-0! i hope the Gunners win 5-0! As far as I can see on the player stats, only Martin Keown actually needs to appear ('play' is too strong word in his case) in both the last two matches, Jeremie Aliadiere needs just one more to get his medal!

Do you sometimes feel that you've done nothing with you life and you've achieved nothing? Well you're right about that, just tjeck this out, then you'll be able to see what other people accomplished at your age... it's a depressing read!
