American Idiot

It apperars that the the crazy yanks has once again selected George W. Bush for President *sigh*. I, obviously, think that they should've picked Kerry, but on the other hand I do get a bit tired of Danes and other Europeans who simplifies American politics and makes Kerry out as the only and obvious choice. Yesterday there was a poll at Danish newspaper Politikens homepage, and there more people said that they would've voted for Ralph Nader than for Bush.... I mean cmon, Ralph f*cking Nader!?!?!?

It might not be all that good for freedom of speech in the blogosphere if Bush takes another turn in the White House. If remarks about the President on a blog, makes Secret Service turn up on your doorstep [via Caroline], where are we then??!?! You shouldn't believe all you read on the internet Mr President... and I mean that in the nicest possible way!

and you said you'd rather live in tv land...

Jebus, Monday night television is a bore! "Who's got the time to wait for someone becoming a millionair?" and a reality show/DIY combo is all that's on right now, no wonder I watch it less and less!

So that leaves more time for reading the batch of books I bought in London. A bit before the whole world went Dan Brown crazy, I read The Da Vinci Code, and found it quite thrilling albeit a bit weak at the end. And since just about every bookshop in the UK had a special offer on his 3 other novels I bought the lot. I also bought William Gibsons (yeah, he's a blogger!) latest, Pattern Recognition, which sound really great. Finally I also found the official Suede biography Love & Poison, which suffers from the fact that Bernard Butler didn't wish to tell his side of the story, and that the author is a good friend of the band, which makes everything sort of rosy! Give me Everything any day!

And I think that 'Still in Love Song' by The Stills is the best single I've heard all year. It's Cure/Joy Division with a Nick Jago tight drum beat - ace!
