100% Insincerity guaranteed

I'm tired of minutes of silence and Western goodwill towards the tsunami victims. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a tragedy and horrible, and I feel a terrible for the people involved. What I am tired of, is this massive publicity this tragedy has gotten, just because it hits an area flooded with fat Wester tourists. Did anyone collect a trillion billion Euros/Kroner/Dollars when an earthquake killed 30.000 people and made hundreds of thousands homeless in Bam last year? Nope. If the sacrifice of a couple of hundred tourists a year is what it takes for the West to get to their wallets and start helping Third World countries, I think it's well worth it. Again, this is not to be an insensitive bastard, but I'm sick and tired of celebrity causes and phony goodwill.

In a more positive spirit; I had a great New Years Eve, until 'Den Gule Enke' send me under the table and into bed with my trousers on.
