A holistic post today....

Bought my first Danish CD in ages yesterday. Godspeed into the Mainstream by Spleen United, the successful band I've been closest to being a member of. After listening through it 5 times I'm really impressed with the sound - they couldn't have done it with me, for sure!

Arsenal vs. FC Tuna: What a game..... I think my crowd kept a cheery approach to a match that looked to end bad for a long time. A lot of the other fans moaned a lot, while Morten just laughed and kept saying "Why don't you get a striker?" - wise words. Afterward we went to a local bar and got a couple of Mojitos (white rum - please), and watched some punks get caught throwing peoples bikes into the local stream. A substantial police force turned up, apparently while a load of hyper intelligent GF fans smashed a train! Makes you wonder about their priorities really....

The amount of mojitos consumed must have affected me, since I went to bed without removing my contact lenses, resulting in dry and rather red eyes when I woke up the next morning....

... Red Eye being the film I went to see that very evening. Good, tense and short film.... which cannot be said about the Romeo & Juliet/H&M commercial they showed before the film - dreadful and rather hilarious, and to be found here for all your masochist needs!

Red Eyes and Tears - a song by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, who by a stroke of genius turns up at Voxhall....

... only a few days after Spleen United plays that same venue!

everything's connected!

The refrigerator door really fell off the day before yesterday. Now it's back on, with only a big dent in the door and one in the floor as evidence of this dramatic happening. Oh the everyday drama!

Tonight Arsenal are playing the European equivalent of Miami Dolphins; FC Thuna - let's hope they can do a bit better than against 'Boro, or even channel those Real beating guys from Lyon, as Finley Quaye once sang... or something.

And I've said that I would like to review Mew for Gaffa - so now I hope that someone I know is going to the gig (Anderz, I'm looking in your direction!) and someone can give me a crash course in one of the Danish wankers bands I detest the most. Nah, it's not that bad, and if I'm going it'll pay my train ticket to Copenhagen for the Art Brut gig that I'm really looking forward to!

Update: Blast, beaten to the Mew gig by 4 minutes - but free entrance to Art Brut.

Holy mutha f*ck - the door to the fridge just fell off!

For some people a bag of M&M's is all they need when they wake up hung over - for me earlier, this was more like it

cholesterol poisoning here I come! (and obviously I didn't eat the green stuff, it's just for show)

My little brother, whose birthday I forgot, sorry bro' - is in Japan and is blogging, in Danish, from the land of the sun. His very funny rambling can be found here!

More later.

Update:
Now I remember what I actually wanted to post. I'm going to England on October 25th, and have already found a couple of to-do things. In Leeds I want to see Duels, I might even check if Gaffa wants a short piece about them and/or the Leeds scene, which seems to be exploding right now. In London it seems that the Arsenal-Prague tickets is in the net, so that should be cool (unlike the embarrassing defeat by 'Boro yesterday). Also, the on the blog previously mentioned The Glitterati is playing London the day before the match. And since Slash says they're good, they probably are.

And I've given, temporarily, up on rock music. BRMC's gone country, and the Dandy Warhols album sound like a mess... so now I'm listening to Melody Club!
